					<description><![CDATA[<p>ICOSAHEDRA CoPd NPs FOR MAGNETICALLY INDUCED CATALYSIS In this study, CoPd bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared using an organometallic approach. Detailed structural analyses, including high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and wide-angle X-ray scattering, showed an icosahedral Pd-rich core surrounded by a less crystalline Co-rich shell. 									<p>In this study, CoPd bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared using an organometallic approach. Detailed structural analyses, including high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and wide-angle X-ray scattering, showed an icosahedral Pd-rich core surrounded by a less crystalline Co-rich shell. Due to their strong magnetic anisotropy, these 10 nm particles are ferromagnetic at room temperature and can act as efficient heating agents when exposed to an alternating magnetic field (AMF). The NPs were successfully tested as catalysts in hydrodeoxygenation reactions using induction heating for energy-efficient activation.</p><p>This study was published in the journal <em>Chemistry of Materials</em> from the American Chemical Society in February of 2025 and was selected to feature the issue’s front cover, which consisted of an artwork depicting CoPd icosahedral NPs under an AMF carrying out hydrodeoxygenation of acetophenone. The totality of the work was developed at LPCNO with Felipe Quiroga-Suavita as first author and jointly supervised by Bruno Chaudret and Lise-Marie Lacroix, from the <em>Nanostructures et Chimie Organométallique</em> (NCO) group.</p>								</div>

									<p><span class="HwtZe" lang="en"><span class="jCAhz ChMk0b"><span class="ryNqvb">In a committed and inspiring approach, Emma Lisoir (left) and Angélique Gillet (right)—members of our research team—recently participated in an immersive InnovStart(H)er training session dedicated to entrepreneurship.</span></span><span class="jCAhz ChMk0b"><span class="ryNqvb"> https://www.toulouse-tech-transfer.com/fr/actualites-et-evenements/innovstarther By choosing to step outside their comfort zone, they demonstrated boldness and determination, driven by a desire to better understand the world of business creation and all the challenges surrounding it.</span></span> <span class="jCAhz ChMk0b"><span class="ryNqvb">With a startup project in mind, they took on the challenge of pitching their idea every day, leading up to the final presentation before a jury of experts including Alexandra Bertron, Director of INSA Toulouse, Odile Rauzy, President of the University of Toulouse, and Patrick Cazeneuve, President of Toulouse Tech Transfer.</span></span><span class="jCAhz ChMk0b"><span class="ryNqvb"> Beyond the intense learning experience—from market insights to intellectual property—this training was marked by inspiring testimonies from female business founders and a strong desire to highlight the role of women in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.</span></span> <span class="jCAhz ChMk0b"><span class="ryNqvb">Their curiosity and commitment were recognized with awards presented at the end of the session: startup project with a high environmental impact and investment-ready project.</span></span> <span class="jCAhz ChMk0b"><span class="ryNqvb">Through their initiative, they serve as a reminder that entrepreneurship has no gender and that women are fully entitled to play their part in it.</span></span></span></p>								</div>
