CNRS researcher (chargé de recherche). She obtained her PhD in Chemistry in 1995 at the National and Capodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece. During her PhD she has worked on the synthesis and catalytic activity in the hydroformylation reaction, of rhodium complexes with sulfur containing aminoacids, under the direction of Professors G. Pneumatikakis and D. Katakis. She has then joined the group of Professor P. Espinet in Valladolid, Spain, when she worked on the synthesis, structure elucidation, fluxional behavior and catalytic properties of Pd, Pt and Rh complexes with new mixed donor P-N ligands. In 1999 she joined the group of B. Chaudret in the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination in Toulouse where she started to work on the synthesis of metal nanoparticles. In 2005 she participated in the creation of the LPCNO as a research engineer (ingénieur de recherche). Since 2008 she occupies a position of CNRS researcher in the LPCNO. Her research activity concerns the development of chemical methods and synthesis strategies that allow obtaining multifunctional nano-objects that present specific structural characteristics, in order to facilitate their integration in functional devices, to respond to application specifications, and finally in order to discover new chemical and physical properties. Her recent research concerns the synthesis of magnetic metallic nanoparticles and in particular cobalt nanorods, which are the basic constituents for more complex architectures (heterostructures, organized superlattices), in order to exploit their properties in a variety of applications (magnetic recording, biosensors, catalysis).
