2015-2018: ANR NANOTAGGIN :

Identity documents counterfeiting is a major threat for consumer safety, citizen employment and national economies. The solutions traditionally used to fight against this phenomenon suffer from two main issues: the difficulty for “first-line” people (policemen, customs officials…) to authenticate identity documents without having a complex reader and the inability to secure both the identity document shelf and the personalized data because of size constraints. The NANOTAGGIN project which brings together an academic research lab, the LPCNO and the Nanolike start-up, aims at answering this problematic by the development of an innovative security solution for identity documents: invisible at naked-eye “nanotags” based on directed assembly of luminescent colloidal nanoparticles by nanoxerography. These nanotags would be easily read by the “first line” using a simple smartphone.
