Équipe 3. Optoélectronique Quantique , Chargé de recherche CNRS, HDR

Laurent Lombez is a CNRS research scientist (Chargé de Recherche). He got his PhD at INSA Toulouse in 2007 (LPCNO) working on electrical and optical spin injection in semiconductor nanostructures (dilute nitride and quantum dots). He then moved to the University of Cambridge where he did a 2-years postdoc at the Cavendish Laboratory. He there worked on the optical spectroscopy of color centers in diamond. He was hired by the CNRS in 2009. He worked at IPVF in Palaiseau (former named: IRDEP) where he developed multidimensional optical platform (time and spectrally resolved luminescence images) to characterize photovoltaics materials and devices. He also worked on advanced concepts for high efficiency PV. He got the Habilitation degree (HDR) in 2017 from UPMC. In September 2019 he moved back to the LPCNO where his main interest is to investigate and control the transport properties to develop materials and devices for optoelectronics as well as spin(valley)tronics.

Laurent Lombez is the (co-)author of more than 60 peer-review papers and 5 patents, he has taught in different places (University of Cambridge, UPMC, Ecole Polytechnique, INSA…) and has been involved in 4 conference organizations and in more than 14 national and international projects.
