bureau n°142

Équipe 4. Nanomagnétisme , Assistant professor

Thomas Blon is a lecturer. After graduating from the INSA Rennes in 2002, he spent his phD at the CEMES-CNRS, Toulouse: "Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of metal/Cobalt/metal ultrathin films: control of interfaces from epitaxy to ion irradiation", obtained in 2005. He spent one year at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, where he worked on transport properties of magnetic nanowires electrodeposited in alumina templates. He joined the LPCNO in 2006 September, and is involved in the magnetic and structural properties of magnetic nanoparticles elaborated by organometallic chemistry. He also works on the hybrid growth, i.e. the epitaxy of nano-objects by chemical synthesis on thin films prepared by physical vapor deposition techniques.
