LPCNO researchers at the 2016 Nuit des Chercheurs

During this event, two hundred researchers from all disciplines came to meet the general public to share their passion for research. Animations, experiments, games, screenings allowed to live the sciences differently. In this case, the LPCNO researchers suggested that children make red gold at the Cité des mini-chercheurs. Indeed, the material has original properties at the nanometer scale and gold becomes red at these very small sizes. This animation allowed the children to explain certain concepts that are used daily at the LPCNO. Some researchers have also participated in the Speed-Searching workshops (where the public talks face-to-face with a researcher) and Word of Mouth (which allows to realize, in a fun way, what remembers the general public when a researcher explained to him his work).
