Team presentation

The INSERM research team (ERL1226) is a biology team specialized in pharmacological targeting of G protein coupled receptors over-expressed in cancers. The team has studied underlying mechanisms of ligand recognition by receptors (binding site mapping), the activation and internalization mechanisms of these receptors.
The team now develops therapeutic targeting approaches against cancers. On the basis of a strong collaboration, the team joined LPCNO in January 2016 where it develops therapeutic strategies based on the delivery of magnetic nanoparticles to tumor cells and on their exposure to a magnetic field, with the aim to kill the tumor cells.

Our second aim is to elucidate the mechanisms at the origin of cell death; this will help to identify new anti-cancer therapeutic solutions and to enhance their effectiveness.
